Wireless internet in your caravan

Who is wireless for?

Anyone with a WiFi enabled laptop who wants to browse the internet or read e-mails using a broadband wireless connection. WiFi provides the perfect solution for rural locations, when mobile coverage is poor or even non-existent. The broadband is of higher quality for laptops or a PDA. We can provide cordless WiFi mobile telephones at competitive rates, which is ideal for your staff and your customers. Call costs compared to BT are considerably lower – around 1.2p per minute for a national call.

What is Wireless used for?

Connecting to the Internet with a broadband connection and providing an infrastructure for additional services such as security cameras.

What are the benefits of Wireless?

Customers are looking for parks, sites and marinas with WiFi facilities. They will stay loyal to your site if you install this feature and you will certainly attract new customers and generate an additional income stream for your business.

Why have Wireless in a caravan park, campsite or marina?

Wireless allows your non-residential customers to access broadband Internet from their laptops within your site, thereby offering a very attractive service. This service brings a new opportunity for your customers to keep in touch with friends, family, education and business on site without having to search for the nearest Internet Café.

How much will it cost?

Your requirements are individual to your business and therefore the FREE SITE SURVEY will identify detailed costs. We need to take into consideration your area, the topography of the site, your requirements and our recommendations.

Should I give WiFi away for free?

The service you are offering for your customers will be appreciated and highly valued and therefore hopefully they will be willing to pay for the service. There is a cost for you associated with providing the WiFi service and also an opportunity to recover these costs by generating an income stream from your customers.

How will we promote the service?

I-nova will provide some marketing material to help you publicise the service to your customers. More detail is given on the Marketing Wireless page.

How do people to get onto the service?

The solution is very simple, it is called a Gateway Management System. The Gateway is designed to create a secure environment that manages user accounts, provides access and does the billing. Customers are given access that can be valid for any time period simply by purchasing the relevant voucher or by creating a yearly account.

How will customers pay for the service?

By using a pre-paid voucher system provided by the Gateway Management System.

How long will it take to set up?

We take pride in being a family business that cares and ensure we understand and meet our customer’s exact requirements. The majority of systems can be installed within 4-6 weeks from order date; well below the industry average.

Who will support the service?

There are various options of support but we will support and maintain the equipment we supply and install. Please contact us for more details.

Will we get help with training?

The system is easy to understand and normally grasped within a short time. Depending on the type of installation we will give you the required help to get you started.

How far can the service reach?

Wireless radio coverage indoors can cross reinforced concrete walls or floors but its capacity is reduced under such conditions and therefore the range can be as low as 15m. In a dense interior environment (where there are large obstacles or deep stone walls) a range of 25m is generally possible, but if there are just thin partitions to cross, the range is usually 60m.

Outdoor Wireless Networks can typically cover an area of several miles with relatively inexpensive equipment. Caravan Parks, Camping Sites and Marina’s are prime examples of areas that suit Wireless or Wi-Fi networks.

What about our buildings?

This depends on the existing infrastructure you have. With Wireless, any wiring and disruption should be kept to a minimum. We would discuss all options with you at the site survey.

How can we improve our security with Wireless?

Security is a key element in the development of Wireless technology which is based on radio transmissions. Implementing security solutions which enable only authorized users to access Wireless Networks and guarantee the confidentiality of data exchanged is key to a successful system.

What is wireless CCTV?

Wireless CCTV cameras are cameras without wires that can broadcast their pictures back to base without the need for digging trenches or connections. A major attraction in the solution offered by Wireless CCTV Systems is the speed of installation and the absence of cabling.

It is possible to put cameras exactly where they need to be rather than having to compromise on the location to suit the positions of cable ducts. It is also possible to place equipment where appropriate cable runs would not be practical. The systems are quick to install, highly responsive and economical too. The cameras are attractive and discreet and therefore blend into the landscape of your park or marina. More information is shown on the Security Section of the Services Page

This level of security will please your customers and give them confidence in the fact you are looking after their welfare and their property.
